Always and Forever ~ this antique fleur de lis brooch is so unique!
The locket dangles from a lovely old fleur de lis. It has beautiful decorative engravings on the front. The back is personalized: Dorothy, July 1st, 1940. It is marked with a hallmark and GF (gold filled)
The background for the papercuttings is the original purple moire lining. The intertwined hearts and heart in hand pieces are made from aged, stained, watercolored paper. The tiny ring is a shimmering gold metallic paper, vintage, of course!
This piece measures about 2 1/4” x 1 1/4”.
I always hand cut my hearts and hands with big utility scissors. No templates or die cuts are ever used.
