This folk art love token has a fancy cuff made from the lining of a 1930s envelope. The heart and hand are made from a copy of a late 1800s letter and aged, distressed, painted papers. The background is an 1800s French correspondence. The back is a page from a French booklet.
The metal frame is early 1900s. It has a faux wood grain design. It has the original glass. It has the original metal loop. You can hang this by the loop or add decorative ribbon for handing.
This measures about 4 3/4" x 2 3/4".
I always hand cut my hearts and hands with big utility scissors. No templates or die cuts are ever used.
I have included a video so you can see the shimmer on the cuff.
Signed and dated on the back, Lana Manis 2025.
