Frozen in Time - Love Token 
The heart and hand are lovingly cut from antique French papers, each carrying a story of its own. The heart comes from a mid-1800s French document, its script softened by time. The decorative cuff is fashioned from original stationery from the Grand Hotel Lion d’Argent in Charleville, France, dated 1921 - paper that once belonged to grand arrivals, handwritten letters, and candlelit rooms. The softly mottled blue background is original to the frame itself, as if it was always waiting for this story to be told. A tiny paper ring, formed from a slender band of hand-watercolored paper, seals the enchantment.
The silver-tone frame shows its age with grace, marked by time and touch. An engraved garland of roses circles the oval like a protective charm. Turn the piece over and you’ll find the original velvet backing, gently faded, still glowing with whispers of long-ago aqua blues.
This piece measures approximately 4½” x 3”.
Every heart and every hand is cut freehand using large utility scissors—no templates, no die cuts, no repetition. Each curve is guided solely by instinct, experience, and the artist’s hand, ensuring that no two pieces will ever be the same.
